  • Combine the margarine and sugars in a large bowl and beat with an electric mixer until smooth.
  • Add the egg and vanilla and beat until combined.
  • Add the soda, salt, and flour, beating until the flour is combined.
  • Stir in the chocolate chips with a mixing spoon.
  • Drop the dough 1 tsp at a time onto an ungreased baking sheet.
  • Bake at 350 degrees 10-15 minutes, or until the cookies are just browned.
  • Remove from the sheet to cool.
