Healthier Honey Wheat Banana Bread

"This banana bread has no oil or sugar so I feel better about letting my family eat it. My family loves it even though they are very picky on their banana breads!"

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease a 9" x 5" loaf pan.
  • In a large bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • In another bowl, mix together applesauce and honey. Stir in eggs, banana's and vanilla.
  • Stir banana mixture into flour and stir just until moistened.
  • Add nuts if desired.
  • Pour into prepared pan and bake for 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Cool bread in pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto wire rack.
