Healthier Sautéed Cabbage

"A healthier version of sautéed cabbage for those who would rather not make it with bacon grease. I find the bacon version much too heavy, so I created this recipe which has almost no saturated fat (depending on what oil you use). Try making it with red and green cabbage for a beautiful and yummy dish."

  1. I haven't tried adding any extra flavors yet, but this worked really well. I had this with some pasta.

I am a math teacher, Master Gardener, Irish dancer, 4-H leader, and passionate about tasty food! <br>I am originally from Portland, OR in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. Growing up we always had a huge garden, fruit trees, wild berries galore, and a variety of nut trees. That gave me a passion for all things fresh...and especially organic! My husband and I currently reside in the high desert of southwestern Wyoming. We are at 6300 ft in elevation...which makes baking quite difficult sometimes! Almost nothing grows here, so local produce isn't an option. When visiting family back in the Northwest, I have been known to smuggle zucchini home in my suitcase! =)
