  • Preheat oven to 375 deg F/190 deg Celsius Grease 18 cups of 2 1/2 inch muffin pans.
  • Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and the spices in a bowl.
  • Mix in a bowl the applesauce, melted butter and eggs.
  • Stir this into the dry ingredients until moistened. Stir in 1 1/2 cup oats and the raisins.
  • Spoon the batter into the muffin cups, and sprinkle tops with rest of oats.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes, until a skewer inserted comes out clean. Remove from pans.

  1. I thought they were too sweet when hot. Ate them the next day and it tasted better. I think I would add nuts next time and omit the raisins. not bad! it was a nice change for breakfast!
