ingredients
- 1 1⁄2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1⁄2 cups whole wheat flour
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1⁄2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 egg
- 4 egg whites
- 1 1⁄2 cups Splenda sugar substitute
- 1 cup unsweetened applesauce
- 1⁄2 tablespoon vanilla
- 4 -5 apples, diced (crisper like granny smiths are better)
directions
- mix all dry ingredients together and set aside, in another bowl mix the eggs, splenda, applesauce and vanilla together. Stir in the dry ingredients and gently fold in the diced apples. Bake for approximately 1 hour at 350 degrees. (cooking time will depend on pan size you are using, I typically use 6-8 med loaf pans).
