  • Preheat oven to 400°F.
  • Grease 12-18 muffin cups (12 for larger muffins, 18 for regular muffins- 2/3 full).
  • In a large bowl, stir together flour, sugars, baking powder, chocolate chips, and salt.
  • In another bowl, stir together milk, eggs, butter, and vanilla until blended.
  • Make a well in center of dry ingredients.
  • Add milk mixture and stir just to combine. DO NOT OVER MIX.
  • Spoon batter into prepared muffin cups.
  • Now bake for 15-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted to the center comes out virtually clean.
  • Remove muffin tin to wire rack. and cool for approx 5 minutes.
  • Remove from tins to finish cooling.
  • Serve warm or completely cool.
  • feel free to add other ingredients in or substitute fruit for the chocolate chips. also, a little cinnamon in the batter tastes quite good. these muffins also freeze well!.

  1. These muffins are delicious! I added more chocolate chips, and a 1/4 cup of flaxseeds for a healthy crunch! Enjoy them! They are really good!
     
  2. Will re-rate once I've eaten them BUT there was no info on how much butter to add to the recipe! I guessed 6 tblspns based on other recipes. Instructions also don't say when or where to add applesauce. I added it to the milk mixture.
