ingredients
- 1 cup flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups oats
- 1⁄4 cup wheat germ
- 3⁄4 cup margarine
- 1 1⁄2 cups brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 3⁄4 cup coconut
- 3⁄4 cup raisins
- 1⁄2 cup nuts, chopped
directions
- Combine flour, soda, salt, oats and wheat germ stir well to blend.
- cream butter, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla together thoroughly.
- add oats mixture mix well.
- stir in raisins and nuts.
- drop dough by teaspoonfuls onto lightly greased baking sheets. flatten slightly with hand or floured fork.
- bake at 350 f for 12-15 minutes or until golden.
- makes about 4 1/2 dozen cookies.
