  1. preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. sift first four ingredients together.
  3. in another bowl, mix butter, molasses and vanilla, then add eggs.
  4. add sifted ingredients and whole wheat flour, thoroughly mix.
  5. add raisins and mix.
  6. drop a tsp about 2 inches apart and bake for 10 - 12 minutes or until lightly browned.
