  1. I made a 'breakfast' version of this which I really enjoyed. Used reg. milk instead of the 1/2 and 1/2, no whipped cream, and a sprinkle of cocoa instead of the chocolate shavings. Very much enjoyed the combo of chocolate/vanilla/cinnamon/ground red pepper (I used cayenne). Thanks.

  2. What a nice blend of flavors. I was very concerned about the red pepper so I used a very very small dash of it. I did use 3 shots of espresso in place of the coffee and then steamed my milk and then just mixed it into the mug with the spices. Worked out great! Thanks diner for a great treat on my Valentine's evening! Made for 123 Hits!!

  3. I scaled down the recipe to make one serving. With that being said, I use, 1 cup of water, 2-1/2 teaspoons instant coffee (I used decaf instant coffee), 1/4 cup Hershey's Special Dark Chocolate Syrup, 1/8 teaspoon vanilla extract, 1/16 teaspoon ground cinnamon, a light sprinkle of ground red pepper, 1/4 cup of half-and-half (or I'll use 2% milk), plus I'll top the coffee with Original or Extra Creamy Reddi Wip, and a light sprinkle of ground cinnamon.

  4. This was a nice spicy treat to warm up on a chilly morning. I halved the recipe, used 2% milk instead of half and half and used a bit of allspice and cinnamon, I think I may have been a little heavy handed with the red pepper, it really had a kick, but was really tasty. Thanks for posting the recipe.

  5. What a lovely coffee diner. I really enjoyed this treat. It had a lovely spicy mocha flavor with a kick. It was so quick and easy to make, that it could be dangerous. I can forsee myself enjoying these often, way too often. Thanks so much for sharing another winner.
