  1. Very nice stew! I did wonder, however if the temperature given in step #1 was correctly given. I cooked on 225° (as specified) for three hours, as directed, but the meat was not tender and there were no sign of bubbles or heat. I increased the temperature to 350° and cooked for another 1 1/2 hours. The stew was finally served and it was very tasty. I served with bread and butter. Thanks, mermaidmagic!

I was born and raised in Boston and continue to live here still. I met my hubby in 1986 and we've been together ever since. We have two children and my family is my passion. Pet peeves? Rudeness, laziness, greed, hatred, and bad manners of any kind. And for some reason, I can't stand listening to someone whistle!
