Ingredients Nutrition

  • 12-34 cup butter, melted
  • 4 tablespoons flour
  • 8 cups chicken broth
  • 34 cup carrot, chopped
  • 34 cup celery, chopped
  • 1 cup onion, chopped
  • 12 teaspoon black pepper
  • 12 teaspoon salt
  • 1 lb cooked boneless skinless chicken breast, torn into large pieces (about 2 large)
  • 1 (12 ounce) bag Reames frozen noodles

Directions

  1. Melt butter in a large stock pot, add the flour and cook for about 1 minute until a thin roux forms.
  2. Add carrots, celery, onions; stir to blend with the roux.
  3. Add chicken broth and chicken.
  4. Bring to a boil, turn to low heat and simmer for 20 minutes.
  5. Add noodles and simmer on medium-low heat for an additional 20 minutes.
