“This recipe is more than 65 years old and what a delight at the holidays! It is a side dish that is incredible with Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's celebrations. This will take you back to those warm family gatherings at grandma's house on a cold and snowy winter's day. My mother always made this for me and every time my wife makes it for me it brings back loving memories of her.”

Ingredients Nutrition


  1. Combine cranberries and pineapple in a bowl and toss lightly.
  2. Mix Jello with 1 cup of hot water, stir until dissolved.
  3. Add the Port wine and the fruit mixture and pour into a 9X13 inch glass pan and refrigerate until set firmly (about 3 hours).
  4. Let the cream cheese soften at room temperature while waiting on the Jello to firm. Blend with 1 cup of sour cream.
  5. Spread the softened cream cheese evenly onto the Jello mixture and top with chopped walnuts.
  6. For best results chill about 1 hour before serving.
  7. Will keep under plastic wrap about 3 days.
