  • 1 lb hamburger (lean)
  • 2 large turnips (diced)
  • 4 medium potatoes (diced)
  • 2 cups chopped carrots
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1 cup mushroom (sliced)
  • 12 cups water
  • 4 teaspoons beef stock (or if desired substitute 3 cups of water for 3- 15oz cans beef broth.)

  • Brown hamburger and onion in large stock pot.
  • Add all other ingredients with the water Bring to boil Reduce heat to medium and let simmer approx 1 hour or until vegetables are tender.
  • Season to Taste!
