  1. The texture was lovely and the flavour was good, but it tasted too much of soda. Next time I will cut the baking soda, increase the cheese and herbs (I used 1 T of fresh sage) a little bit. Also only took 45 minutes to cook. We also brushed melted butter on top upon removing from oven.

  2. Delicious beer bread! I used Italian seasoning instead of the sage. I drizzled a little low fat margarine over the top after taking out of the oven. Served with roasted chicken and asparagus. Thanks!

  3. This was pretty tasty - I liked the combination of sage and cheese. I used more cheese than called for and stout for the beer. I did find it a bit salty though, and looking at other recipes, may decrease the the baking soda and salt the next time I make it. Thanks for sharing!

  4. Made it months ago and forgot to rate...This has been a total hit in my house!! I did use more cheese, probably closer to two cups than one, Coors for the beer, and Italian seasoning instead of the sage. My boyfriend bragged about it at work so thanks for helping me score some kitchen points both with him and them!!

  5. It was good, I liked the flavor and the beer makes it have that yeast smell and flavor. I submitted a picture for this recipe but i didn't have dried or fresh sage. I only had the ground kind so i used that. It didn't show up in the picture (as you can tell).
