  • Melt butter in small sauce pan.
  • Saute sliced onion and herbs in melted butter until soft.
  • Remove from heat and allow to cool.
  • Add ingredients to your bread machine according to manufacturer's instructions.
  • Add cooled herb mixture when your machine beeps at the "add-in" stage.
  • Yields a one and a half pound loaf.

  1. Sweeter than I was expecting but very delicious with a smooth and fluffy texture. Will be great with the turkey sandwiches I've planned - or tuna would be nice too.
     
  2. This bread was really good. I didn't saute the green onions first, I chopped them very well in my food processer and added everything in the bread maker at the same time. It smelled like stuffing (yum) while it was baking. I'm going to have to try those turkey sandwiches, they sound great!
     
  3. Really good! Left out the basil & thyme because we were out of both. The green onion flavor is very mild. I would consider doubling them next time for a little more onion flavor and because the green specks also make the bread look nice. Used the regular white bread setting on the bread maker with medium crust.
     
  4. This came out REALLY well and smelled wonderful while baking. Thank you for sharing.
