  • Saute the the thyme in the butter in a skillet for 5 minutes.
  • Add onions and salt.
  • Cook covered for 15 minutes or until tender.
  • Serve with any kind of meat.

  2. This made a nice change from the plain old fried onions that I usually serve over BBQ'd steak. The addition of thyme cut the sweetness of the Vidalia onions. Thanx Theresa !!
