Directions

  1. Place raisins in large bowl add hot water.
  2. Stir in baking soda.
  3. Add butter and sugars, mix well.
  4. Add vanilla, salt,flour and eggs and mix well.
  5. Pour batter into greased, floured 19 ounce tins.
  6. Fill half full.
  7. Bake in 350 oven for about 45 minutes.
  8. Cool upside down.
  9. Makes 4 loaves.
