Hobo's Delight

"I don't know who came up with the colorful name for this recipe (from an old church cookbook), but it's sort of like sloppy joes with more substance and not in a sandwich. Served on Fritos and topped with shredded lettuce, cheese, and ranch dressing. It's not fancy, but it is a tasty and easy to prepare home-cookin' dish."

  1. I’m so thrilled you have this recipe. My Grandma gave me the cookbook this recipe came from as an anniversary gift 30 years ago. I lost the cookbook sometime ago and was so sad because hobos delight was our favorite. I’m happy to say I’ll be able to serve this old family favorite once again. ?? Thanks so much!!

  2. Made this tonight for eating in front of the football game on TV. I did not have any Accent, and so I just added a little more salt and some chili powder and extra cumin to give it more flavor. I was a bit dubious about the ranch dressing, but that absolutely makes this dish -- don't leave it off! I did use extra ground beef since we were expecting guests. VERY easy to make, didn't take long, and delicous. I will definitely make this again. Thanks for a great recipe!
