  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  • For cake, prepare cake mix according to package directions, substituting milk for water and adding baking powder. Bake for 25 minutes, or until done. Cool.
  • For filling, combine nuts, raisins, egg yolks, cream and wine in saucepan. Heat to warm through and cook egg. (Do not boil.).
  • Cut cake into 2 layers. Spread filling over bottom layer. Replace top layer.
  • For frosting, combine sugar, egg whites, water, corn syrup and vanilla in top of double boiler. Cook and beat for 7 minutes, or until stiff peaks form. Beat for 1 minute. Spread over top and sides of cake.
