Reviews

  1. Ghastly sweet.

  2. Great recipe! We made it with semi-sweet chocolate chips and walnuts instead of vanilla chips and pecans. They were a big hit at my wife's office party. They were a bit difficult to cut before being refridgerated, but sliced much easier once they were cool

  3. VERY good. Next time (there will be many next times) I think I'm going to melt the vanilla chips (I used white chocolate chips). They didn't melt at all on the crust! Not a big deal, since they're so good, but just a personal preference.

  4. These little bars were a hit!! They were super easy to make and look very pretty for a bar cookie. They are delish. I cut them into very small squares because they're really rich. A must try!

  5. WOW!! These were the hit of my cookie exchange party!! I baked them in a 11x17 pan and used white chocolate chips and Craisins for the dried cranberries. I cute them in to 1 inch squares and they were so sweet and moist. These are now part of my holiday baking traditions! Thank You Kittencal!

Tweaks

  1. This is a nice twist on the "traditional" 7 layer or magic cookie bar recipe. I substituted dark chocolate for the white and walnuts for the pecans. A wonderful and quick fall dessert--especially considering I had to make my own sweetened condensed milk (<a href="/25226">Sweetened Condensed Milk</a>). Bravo!
