  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Mix flour, baking powder, and salt in one bowl.
  3. In a separate large bowl, blend butter with sugar, and add eggs one at a time. Blend until smooth.
  4. Add chocolate chips and vanilla extract (or any other morsel/extract combo you'd like - examples: mint extract/mint choc chips, almond extract/nuts, lemon extract/craisins, etc.).
  5. Roll one half dough on floured cookie sheet into a log that is approximately 12" long. Flatten the top with the palm of your hand.
  6. Bake for 30 minutes, let cool 10 minutes.
  7. Use a sharp knife to cut log into 1/2-1" strips, and lay strips on their side. Bake for an additional 10-30 minutes (depending on oven).
  8. Let cool and enjoy!
