I found smoked paprika in our local supermarket's bulk section. I used this chili powder for this recipe from Taste of Home: http://www.tasteofhome.com/Recipes/Rainbow-Vegetable-Skillet

The recipe worked really well. I had a Hubbard squash the size of a basketball, and the recipe tasted really good. I have noted the observation about the proportion of Paprika to cumin in one comment below, and if necessary will adjust the amount of cumin when I make chili tonight.

Excellent-Thanks so much! I used 4 dried red chilis with the seeds removed. This adds an incredible amount of flavor to any dish calling for chili powder. My boyfriend is a total wierdo and insists that everything should be storebought so I just mixed this up and put it in the plastic commercial container. He'll never know and think it's just my fabulous cooking! Muahahahahahahaha!

Still in West Virginia but we've moved a few miles away, down to the county capitol. It's a compromise: bigger than our last town but smalelr than the "big city" of Cumberland MD, right up the road. Jobs are not that plentiful here so I am fortunate to be able to work at home (I'm a writer). My passion is cooking and feeding people family well....my pet peeve is the family court systems in America......my love is for emergency medicine and the people that make survival in a crisis possible
