  1. I made this tonight for my family. It was a great recipe. The taste was great. I did not how ever, add as much sugar.

  2. Ok well,,as in my previous review,I REALLY loved this recipe lots!!! I followed recipe instructions with the exception of adding 3 teaspoons of honey to make it a bit more moist as most cornbread/muffins are a tiny bit dry & crumbly,,,this time I doubled the recipe so I could give half to my mother & sister inlaw,,I baked cornbread batter in a 9 by 13 by 2 inch glass baking pan sprayed with *Pam* cooking spray, baked for 25 mins in 425 degree oven & it came out moist & amazingly delicious once again!!! This time making this wonderful cornbread, the strangest occurance happend,I had my windows open as it was an exceptionally beautiful day expecially this time of year and expecially in New Hampshire, temps hitting near 70 & very sunny,I never ever seen anything like this happen before but when I went to check on and remove cornbread from oven,,there were at least 45 bees buzzing & swarming about my kitchen window and about 10 15 clinging to the screen,,they were also trying to get in my open breezway screened door just off the kitchen!!!! OMG this cornbread drove them absolutely WILD!!!!! I dont know if it was just because of the added honey or what but they wanted this cornbread BADDDDDD LOL *note* first time I made this it was rainy and cold so windows were shut,,but OMG this time I just couldnt believe my eyes how the bees were reacting LOL I just wanted to say again how much I absolutely loved this cornbread recipe and apparently so dont BEES!!!!!! LOL Deb :)

  3. This is exactly how I make my corn bread. I LOVE how sweet it is, but, I find it still dry and crumbly. I will try it with a bit less baking powder and a bit less salt. I also cook mine at 400 so may be kicking it up to 425 will help also. If you have any suggestions please e-mail me. I also cook in a cast iron pan..10 Inch...to big? My e-mail is acmantim@earthlink.net...Thanks for posting.
