Homemade Deep Hair Conditioner

The fatty acids in the oil are moisturising, the lime juice is perfect to adjust the pH balance of your hair and the banana is full of potassium which promotes a healthy scalp. Enjoy!"

  • 1 banana, mashed
  • 1 tablespoon sunflower oil
  • 12 tablespoon freshly squeezed lime juice

directions

  • Mix everything together.
  • Apply on to your dry hair and leave it on for 30 minutes.
  • Wash out with a mild baby shampoo.

  1. the smell is pleasant i'm sure. but i would recomend making two pig tails and only applying this to the part of the tail that is below the rubber bands... for the most part the hair that is closest to your head is the most healthy and does not need a lot of conditioning. The ends on the other hand have been around for a while and could use the oils and moisture from the bannana and sunflower oil. Also, to remove oil from hair you never want to wet your hair and then try to rinse it... (oil and water?) start the shampoo on your hair before even wetting it... it will save lots of time (: tips from a hairstylist :)
     
  2. Sorry, didn't like this at all!!! The banana started smelling rotten very quickly and had a terrible time washing it out. Actually it took over an hour to get the stuff out of my hair and it pulled out every hair that was even thinking of falling out in the next month! I'm wondering if this is only suitable for thicker hair types because I've got fine blonde hair. However, I will say my skin seemed to really appreciate this treatment!
     
  3. Its nice I love it .. but the only thing .. I had a hard time washing out the bannana .. but it smells nice ..
