Homemade Granola Bars

"My friend Alexis gave me this recipe and I loved it! These granola bars are great if you love granola, but want something that is fresh and all-natural. Additionally, they are a lot cheaper than buying the Natural and Organic bars in the stores. They can even be made vegan by substituting the honey for pure maple syrup. Enjoy!"

directions

  • Lightly grease a 9x13 pan. In a large bowl combine all ingredients except chocolate chips and raisins. Once ingredients are mixed, gently fold in chocolate chips and raisins.
  • Pour and press mixture into pan (use a sheet of wax paper to press down granola, so it does not stick. Lightly grease if needed). Bake 18-22 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool for 10 minutes and cut. Cool completely before removing from pan.
  • Wrap individually. Can be frozen if desired.
  • *Add what you like -- coconut, nuts, sunflower seeds, etc to make it your own. You can also reduce the oatmeal and add other cereal, etc.

  1. These taste great, but when you hear "granola" you think healthy - and these have a stick and half of butter in them, therefore the 3 stars. I baked them at 350 degrees.
