Homemade Pop-Tarts

- 4 1⁄2 cups flour
- 1 3⁄4 cups shortening
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vinegar
- 1⁄2 cup cold water
- 20 tablespoons strawberry jam
directions
- Cut flour and shortening together with a pastry blender. Add rest of ingredients except Jam.
- Mix until it forms a ball. Wrap in plastic wrap and refridgerate for 1/2 hour or so.
- Roll out small portions of dough on a lightly floured surface. Cut into rectangles. Spread a little jam on 1 rectangle and then put another rectangle on top. Crimp with a fork on the edges.
- Bake at 350 for 15 minutes.
- Top with a vanilla glaze and enjoy!
