Hi Wildheart: Just tried your YUMMIE Homemade Syrup this morning. It's not only tasty, basic, and cheap, it's just wonderful, that's all! Great taste, fast and easy to mix, pretty easy on the pocketbook! I followed your directions, but because there are just two of us here, I cut everything in half and simmered for about 10 min. Absolutely excellent. Thanks so much for sharing. Laudee C.

Being a mother of a 3 year old, when I remembered I was out of syrup, the last thing I wanted was to run out in 4 inches of snow, in 10 degree weather just to buy syrup. When I found this recipe, I decided to go for it. Yummy! I'm really glad I did. It was really easy to make (uses alot of sugar though), and served warm...HMMM! Best of all, it made alot (use a large saucepan) so I won't have to buy any syrup for at least a month. If you need syrup, make this one! Thanks so much for posting!

We were out of our favorite pure maple syrup tonight and the kids were having pancakes for dinner. I halved the recipe and used vanilla extract instead of maple due to chemical allergies (we can't have fake flavorings.) It worked out fine, was quick and easy and of course, cheap!! Thanks so much for saving dinner!
