  • Boil sugar, water, and cinnamon together about 10 minutes.
  • Arrange ladyfingers in shallow dish.
  • Pour syrup over and let stand for at least 5 minutes before serving.
  • Serve hot.
  • Makes 4 to 6 servings.

  1. Traditional Torrejas in Honduras are made with Pinol (fire roasted fresh corn kernels mixed with cinnamon), which unfortunatley is not found in the united states and the Pinol that is rarely available is not good. Ladyfingers are an acceptable subsitute. Thanks for posting.
