Honey and Spice Sticky Buns

  • DOUGH: In a food processor, pulse flour, yeast and salt to combine. Meanwhile, heat water, honey and oil over medium heat for 2-3 minutes.
  • With motor running, drizzle in water mixture and egg; pulse for 30 seconds, or until dough forms a ball. Transfer to a lightly oiled bowl, and turn to coat . Cover and let rise for 30 minutes.
  • HONEY SYRUP: Blend honey, butter, cinnamon, ginger, cloves and nutmeg. Pour half the mixture into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • Roll out dough on a lightly floured surface into a 12x18 recatangle. Spread remaining half of honey mixture over dough leaving 1-inch border; sprinkle evenly with the almonds.
  • Roll dough into a log; trim edges. Slice into 12 equal-sized portions and arrange rolls cut side up, in prepared baking dish. Cover and let rest for 30 minutes.
  • Preheat oven to 375°F Bake for 25 minutes or until golden. Cool for 5 minutes before turning onto a rimmed baking sheet.

I am a 56 year old Gramma that, for the first time in my life, has purchase myself a computer, and I didn't know what i was missing!! <br> <br>I have a husband tha I adore, and 4 grandchildren that of course surpass all others - lol - I am disabled, and am an at home person, so I have a lot of time on my hands, to play with my recipes, and I am enjoying every bit of it - <br>My husband will eat anything that I cook, so I have carte blanche as far as that goes, so I have a great time trying out new recipes. <br> <br>Paula Deen has published some of my favorite cookbooks, her recipes are easy and quick to do. Her sweets are fantastics, especially her pound cakes, Yummm <br> <br>I guess the dish that I am famous for is my Christmas ham - my family all comes home for Christmas, and if i don't have my ham they are dissapointed, and my grandson wants the pistachio squares!!! so I guess that is the dishes that I'm famous for.
