Honey Dijon Mustard Chicken Fillets

  • Combine honey, mustard, soy sauce, ginger and minced shallot.
  • Preheat broiler.
  • Spray broiler pan with non stick cooking spray.
  • Place chicken fillets on pan and brush generously with honey mustard mixture.
  • Broil 5 to 6 inches from heat for 5 minutes.
  • Turn, baste again and broil 5 minutes longer, or until chicken is no longer pink when you cut into it.
  • Sprinkle with chopped parsley.

  1. Cooked by chicken fillets in oven, after marinating them for a little while. Really nice, will be keeping this one. Not too strong, nice subtle taste.
     
  2. Delicious. I used a package of chicken tenders. I added a little more dijon cause I like a stronger flavor. I baked them too, instead of broiling. They were tender and juicy. We then dipped them in more honey mustard sauce--can you tell we are honey mustard freaks. A easy quick entree. I know they would be good in a salad too. Will try that next time. Thanks Secret.

  4. I have used this recipe since 2006, when I was diagnosed as a Type II Diabetic and my then picky teen loved it. It was originally posted on a Diabetic Recipe website. I always double the marinate so I have some extra to use as a dipping sauce. Me and my boyfriend have been together for 11 years now. We live on 40 acres and have 6 dogs and 4 Tennessee Walkers. We both work a lot of hours so there is never enough time in a day to get everything done. I absolutely love the outdoors. I also enjoy lifting weights, reading and playing with all of my beautiful animals. I absolutely love, love and love to cook. I like to cook a variety of things and also like love to bake. I like to just get in the kitchen and experiment with different things. If something does not turn out for me such as pie crust or gravy I will keep trying until I can make it work. Only problem is, when I finally make it work it may not work again the time after that. It is fun though and I do consider myself a pretty good cook for the most part. I also love slow cooker recipes. Those are my most favorite in the winter months.
