  1. I saw the one star and thought how bland can this be with honey and ginger. I mentioned to Julie that I would make it and see what we can do with it! I just put it in the crock pot and posted pictures. Heres what I did so far. I used 3 1/2 pounds chicken in bone and skin which I think is important for full flavor and long low cooking. I well seasoned it with coarse salt, black and red pepper, fresh herbs messaging them in well. Injected it with melted herbed butter. Browned the chicken in a large pan over high heat with 1 teaspoon each olive oil and butter. About 5 minutes each side till well browned and crisp. Place them in a crock pot on low heat. In the pan melt 1/2 stick butter, honey, ginger, fresh lime along with 1/2 the lime to glaze the pot juice. Added this to the chicken and topped with a 1/2 cup of chicken broth. I `ll be back with the final results after we enjoy it in about 6 hours. Off to post pictures of preparing this dish. posted Sep 22, 2004 OK this was good. The choices are endless! I can see using soy sauce as a salt substitute and pineapple juice to help flavor and season this. As fresh minced garlic is always good! Thanks Blink! It was fun cooking with you!(Well with your recipe).

  2. This unfortunately was very bland. It was missing something. I was surprised to find that after 5 hours that the chicken was tough. May taste great for some but I dont think I will make this again.
