Honey Lemon "un-Tea"

"This isn't really a tea; it's more like hot lemonade with honey in it. It's great for non-tea drinkers who still want a hot beverage on a cold day."

  1. I have a cold and sore throat and this hit the spot! Used the juice of one small lemon and about 1 1/2 tablespoons of honey. Microwaved for 2 minutes and let set for a bit to let the lemon and honey marry. Tastes like a warmed mild flavored lemonade and I enjoyed it a lot. You dont have to have a cold to drink this because any time of day this would be a nice drink. Made and reviewed for Kittencal's Vegetarian/Vegan Recipe Tag Game - September.

  2. excellent multipurpose drink. very nice appetite suppressant. wanted something at nite to stop me from eating late at nite. this was satisfying and filling. also used this when my throat started feeling sore for two nites in a row several times and worked great. followed recipe but used juice from real lemon rather than from a jar. thank you for sharing.

  3. This tastes good and is great when you have a sore throat or cough. The honey coast the throat and the lemon cuts through the mucus. My husband and I prefer it with 1 tablespoon lemon juice and 2 tablesppons honey.

  4. This is a favorite of mine - I am sipping on some as I write, though I have halved the lemon and honey and will enjoy another cup later in the day. This is a soothing drink first thing in the morning when throats are a little scratchy. It's a wonderful "pick me up" in the afternoon or anytime. Glad to have the nutritional information 'zaar provides. Thanx
