Honey Lime and Yogurt Facial Cleanser

"This cleanser leaves your skin soft and smooth feeling, and it's a lot cheaper than buying cleanser at the store. You can add some essential oils, if you want. This needs to be refrigerated-the recipe makes about 1 weeks worth for me."

  1. I tried this mask and absolutely loved it!! You can see my experience and results on my blog TheGildedParlor.com !

  2. I found this recipe elsewhere, and have been making it for a few weeks. I added a tablespoon each of honey and yogurt, as the lime was irritating my sensitive skin. It works well to rid my face of oils, though not makeup so much, at the end of the day. I may switch to a solely honey cleanser once I've used this up, but this was a nice way to use up some of that big tub of yogurt in the fridge.

  3. I haven't tried this but I did want to add a thought or two of caution. I know that lime oil is highly photo-sensitive (sun sensitive), as are all citrus oils. While this recipe only uses lime juice, I personally would be cautious using this mornings I knew I would be outdoors that day.

  4. Great recipe. Easy to make, and did a good job cleaning my face. I have extremely sensitive skin, and this didn't cause any reaction at all...a good thing!
