  • Set oven to 350 degrees.
  • Peel onions, and cut in half crosswise.
  • Place onions cut sides down, in an 8-inch square pan; drizzle with water.
  • Cover with foil; bake for 30 minutes.
  • Combine honey and remaining ingredients.
  • Turn onions over; brush half of honey mixture over onions.
  • Bake, uncovered for another 30 minutes, or until tender, basting with remaining honey mixture after 15 minutes of baking.

  1. Easy to do and smells great. I made extra sauce and used it on a chicken and potatoes as well as the onions. Make sure ou line the pan with foil for easier cleanup!
     
  2. Your recipe is a very, very delicious and easy side dish. All the flavors melded perfectly with the sweet onions...I used red onions, by the way. My husband asked me to make him a meal of these onions one day...no meat, no salad, no other veggies...just these honey roasted onions. We love this recipe!
