Honey Roasted Potatoes

"A tasty side dish to go with any meat. I usually double or triple the glaze to get a nice coating on the potatoes. This recipe works best with red potatoes but I have made it with whatever I have on hand."

  1. I followed the recipe exactly, including using red potatoes (which I not only quartered, but cut into 6ths). I put them on a baking sheet, single layer, and after 35 minutes they weren't anywhere near done. Baked for an additional 20 minutes, and they still weren't done. Ended up taking them out of the oven and microwaving for about 15 minutes and this ended up working. I didn't really care for the taste, either, to me they didn't really have much. Sorry.

  2. I don't even really like potatoes and I thought these were good! My hubby gave them five stars (and he's Mr. meat and potatoes only...don't even THINK of going left of that line)! I added a little garlic season all, and I used yukon gold potatoes. I diced them up into bigger sz. chunks just because I don't like big hunks of potatoes. These go in my favorites list! Next time I think I'll try wrapping them up in foil and grilling em!

  3. These are amazing potatoes! I increased the glaze as suggested. The honey carmelized the onions to make really addictive sweet roasted potatoes! During the cooking process, I thought there was too much liquid, but the liquid evaporated and they turned out fine. My potatoes took longer than the recipe called for (about 45 min.). Wonderful with roast beef!
