  1. in bowl combine water, soy sauce, sherry, onion, garlic and 5 spice powder.
  2. place chicken in basting bag and pour marinade over. seal bag and set in refrigerator over night turning often.
  3. next day light grill and arrange medium-hot coals around drip pan.
  4. place chicken breast side up over drip pan. cover and grill for 1 - 2 hours or until meat is no longer pink and juices are running clear at thigh joint.
  5. brush chicken with honey in last 10 - 15 minutes of grill time.
  6. when done remove chicken from grill, cover with foil and let rest about 10 minutes before carving.
