  1. This was so quick and easy that I was honestly thankful to have found it... Had all ingredients on hand and again, I was thankful! I've never had this type of potato salad before, but it is delicious! It's a new staple in my house, since the kids all ate it up too... The only thing I did differently was to add a little salt & pepper because that tends to be a habit of mine with any type of potato dish. Thank you!

  2. I made this dish for the Chic Chefs during Zarr World Tour 4. I couldn't honestly say it tasted exactly like German potato salad, but that may be the brand of salad dressing more than the recipe. I CAN say that it was DELICIOUS. I made a double recipe to share and there was not a bite left! It will definitely be made again and again. Thanks, Auntie Jan

  3. Fasted recipe change I've ever made. I made Jagerschnitsel (#159118) and was in the process of boiling plain potatoes. Saw this recipe with 10 minutes left of cooking and quickly made up a batch of Italian dressing. Pulled the potatoes off, added the onions and dressing. This was an amazing addition to our meal and fast. Definitely a keeper!

  5. I have never had German potato salad so I can't comment on whether this makes an authentic variation, but I will say it was a nice result for little to no effort. To help the heat of the potatoes wilt the onion, I placed the onions at the bottom of my serving bowl then added the steaming potatoes over them. Left for a minute, then added the dressing. Will probably add a little sliced red or green peppers to that to add a bit of color. Thanks Janet.
