"I'm not a big tea drinker, but I love this tea. It is a great tea for the fall and winter. Recipe is from Woman's Day."

  1. It would really more accurate to call this a tea-infused apple juice drink, but whatever you call it, it is VERY good! The fresh ginger gives it a kick that make sme think this would be great for anyone feeling under the weather. I made a half batch, but wished I'd made a full one -- it does cook down, so even though I started out with 1 1/2 cups of cider, I ended up with one cup of apple tea (I thought that maybe the serving amount listed was a typo, but it's not! :) ). I would have liked more of a tea flavor, but perhaps mine was more mild because I had to use green tea -- I'm allergic to black tea -- which does not have as strong a flavor to begin with. This is a very warming drink. Thanks for sharing!

  2. Good tea for a cold winter night. I loved the addition of the cinnamon and ginger. Next time I'll make it with a lot less sugar as it was much too sweet for me.

  3. Along with Lainey & a few other Zaar Chefs, I could be 'well-beveraged' for the rest of my life! This one came together easily ~ I used 2 bags of green & 2 of black tea, & since I like strong tea, I brewed it for about 8 minutes! AND as others have said, it does serve up well cold, too! 4. I really enjoyed this tea, not really a tea fan but like to find ways to get the antioxidants without the tea taste and this fits the bill perfectly. I left out the sugar & used a piece of crystalised ginger instead of fresh whilst boiling. For me it was plenty sweet enough without the sugar. I had it warm but will try it iced next time. Thanks for posting!

  5. This drink is very different. Sweet, Spicy, Warm. Great combo. Loved the apple cider/tea combo but the ginger and sugar were a bit heavy, for me at least. Was a great pick me up though. I will make this again using about half the sugar and ginger. Thanks for a great and interesting recipe. I would have never dreamed this combo!
