  1. This is very tasty and VERY rich. Making the goo first works wonderfully for parties. I threw it in the blender before my (informal) party and just poured a little in each mug from that! Worked great!

  2. wonderful batter. much better than anything you buy and much cheaper too. we found if you replace the h2o with hot apple cider you get a wonderful richer drink.

  3. Other than using regular brown sugar, and a 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg, and cutting the recipe in half, this was real enjoyable with the neighbor and us, while watching a little sports on tv today.Made for I Recommend.

  4. My neighbor uses this same recipe and it is heavenly! I've since whipped up a batch of my own, and it yields exactly 1/2 gallon of batter. You might think you would never use up that much batter, but trust me, we've already put a considerable dent in ours and barely a week has passed! Also, this is perfect to have in the freezer for guests who stop by around the holidays. Thanks for posting, johnvac52!

  5. I just had this at a girlfriend's house last night, OH MY is all I can say. We also added: 1 jigger of brandy to the hot water along with at least 3 scoops of the yummy concoction! You can easily use 1/2 each: brandy & rum and it will taste just fine! I would suggest freezing it and keeping it on hand for unexpected holiday company or a wayward caroler.

Tweaks

  1. This recipe is just like mine only I use regular brown sugar. I also use peach schnapps or just hot water instead of rum.
