  • 2 cups milk
  • 6 ounces chocolate (any kind. If using milk chocolate, skip the sugar)
  • 14 - 12 cup sugar
  • 12 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 dash salt
  • 2 ounces liqueur (optional)

directions

  • Heat milk over medium heat.
  • Break chocolate into pieces and add to warm milk, stirring until chocolate is melted.
  • Add vanilla and salt. Also add liqueur, if desired. Serve.

<p>I am a Yankee transplant to the low country. My mom was English, so my cooking style reflects this. My favorite cookbook was McCall's Cookbook which is no longer in print. I've been married to a gourmand for 41 years, so I get lots of practice cooking.
