- 1 (20 ounce) can pineapple chunks in juice, drained
- 1 (16 ounce) can pears, slices drained
- 1⁄4 cup butter
- 1⁄2 cup orange juice
- 1⁄2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1⁄8 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 (16 ounce) can peach slices, drained
- 1 (11 ounce) can mandarin oranges, drained
- 1⁄2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1⁄8 teaspoon clove
- 1 (8 ounce) can dark cherries, drained
directions
- Heat the oven to 375.
- Arrange all fruit, except the cherries in a 13 x 9 inch baking dish or 1 1/2 quart casserole.
- In a small saucepan, over medumh eat, combine all remaining ingredients except cherries. Heat and stir until brown sugar is dissolved and the butter is melted.
- Pour over fruit.
- Add cherries.
- Bake for 25 minutes or until fruit is thoroughly heated.
- Serve warm.

So easy to make this great tasting compote! Followed the recipe right on down & we were very happy with the results ~ Great as a hot dish, but outstanding at room temperature along with a scoop of frozen vanilla yogurt!
