  1. My best friends gramma used to make this for us. I loved it and asked her for the recipe over and over. She always stated it was easy and left it at that. She is now over 100 years old and can't speak. I'm so glad I found this recipe. Thanks sooo much! Oh but I should mentioned for the other lady - "hot milk" has a light skin on top but does not boil. Otherwise it will kill the baking powder - my mother used to tell me that anyways....

  2. I don't know what happened with this, I followed the recipe exactly, it did not rise and I know I put the baking powder in, wonder if the hot milk had anything to do with it not rising. Also the coconut topping was not enough to spread over all and was too thick. Sooo sorry had to throw it out. Hope someone else has better luck with it , it did smell very good baking.

I consider myself a lazy cook, I dream of being a great cook who impresses all. For now I settle with not burning anything and things tasting good. (presentation will follow) I`m married to a pretty patient man and we`re currently trying to concieve. (well maybe later) We do have to over grown dogs who are my babies.
