ingredients
- 8 cups apple cider
- 1⁄2 cup brown sugar
- 10 cinnamon sticks (3-inch)
- 6 whole cloves
directions
- Pour cider into large percolator (8-10 cup).
- Place remaining ingredients in percolator basket.
- Perk 10 minutes.
- Pour into mugs.
- Garnish each with a cinnamon stick (from the Percolator basket) and serve.

used this as a general guide for making a small amount of cider (~3 cups we got from juicing some of our neighbor's apples) by just heating it on the stovetop. used ground cloves and ground nutmeg in a spice bag. mmmmmm... I won't be cold again for a while. and I'm looking forward to this treat again--soon.

5 stars is for making it in the crock pot! That and adding a nice slice of ginger to the crock is the changes I made. I would think getting the cinnamon stick from the percolator basket would have a high risk of burns. this is a very comforting drink. The longer it cooked I added some water so not to be so strong or should I say sweet. I liked the brown sugar.
