1. It is really chilly today & I decided ti tag this recipe for PRMR. Great decision and great recipe. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

 2. used this as a general guide for making a small amount of cider (~3 cups we got from juicing some of our neighbor's apples) by just heating it on the stovetop. used ground cloves and ground nutmeg in a spice bag. mmmmmm... I won't be cold again for a while. and I'm looking forward to this treat again--soon.

 3. 5 stars is for making it in the crock pot! That and adding a nice slice of ginger to the crock is the changes I made. I would think getting the cinnamon stick from the percolator basket would have a high risk of burns. this is a very comforting drink. The longer it cooked I added some water so not to be so strong or should I say sweet. I liked the brown sugar.

I love cooking and trying different foods, but my favorite cookbooks are now Weight Watchers or low fat/low cal cookbooks as I tend to try and make low fat/low cal recipes. I lost over 90 pounds on Weight Watchers and have maintained for over a year now -- so my cooking/eating habits have changed drastically following my weight loss and to keep it off!
