Hot Scicillian Sandwich

"This sandwich makes a great fast dinner, super bowl party take-along, etc. I love the flavor combination of the ham and hard salami with the dijon mustard. Whenever I take this to get-togethers...it goes quickly. When I take it to a large gathering, I usually make two, and even then you better hurry if you want a piece!"

  • Slice Italian bread length wise without slicing all the way through and lay open on a piece of aluminum foil on a large baking sheet.
  • Spread mustard on both sides of bread.
  • Lay salami in a single layer on both sides of the bread.
  • Lay ham in a single layer on the salami.
  • Place Provolone cheese on top of ham.
  • Criss-crosss the bacon and lay on top of the Provolone cheese.
  • Place in a 375 oven for approx 10 min or till cheese is melted and beginning to turn brown.
  • Add lettuce and tomato.
  • Slice into 2-4" pieces depending on how it is to be eaten (meal or appetizer).
