Hot Toddy

"From my parents and granparents (add a generation for a lot of readers!) but this is a "warmer upper" when you get inside from the cold of fall/winter/spring activities... Brandy, rye or rum can be substituted for cognac, according to what you have on hand..."

  1. Delicious! I made this hot toddy for my DH who is feeling a bit under the weather. Used whiskey and honey plus the juice of one whole lemon, and it fit the bill perfectly. Thanks John!

  2. This was so yummy! I can see the endless possibilities of this recipe! I used a nice bottle of Hennessy V.S.O.P. because I wanted to try it with cognac first. This is great and I am going to try it with maple syrup as well. Made one for DH2B because he is not feeling well and he was all smiles after drinking it!!! Thanks John!
