Hot Vanilla for Adults

"A hot milk drink with Amaretto. I make this pretty light with 2% milk and sugar substitute--not sub for Amaretto though! :) You can make it richer with some half and half or cream."

  1. Ohmygosh, this is soooo good. I used soymilk that was naturally sweet so I didn't add any sugar. Did I mention that this is SOOO good?!?! This is the perfect drink to have now that the weather is starting to get chilly again. Thank you so much :)

  2. Mmmmmmmm...so creamy and yummy. A great way to relax in the evening. I topped it off with some whipped cream and a sprinkling of cocoa sugar. Made for August, 2009 Bevy Tag.

  3. This drink is WONDERFUL. I have made this 3 or 4 times since seeing it reviewed 10 days ago that I've run out of Amaretto..LOL. I use 2% milk & sometimes I use sweetener & sometimes not. I sprinkle the top with a touch of cinnamon. On the last making, I added a couple of TBSP. of chocolate syrup..yum. Thanks for a nice treat!

  4. I had a cold and this was perfect. I used skim milk. I omitted the sugar cause the amaretto is already sweet enough for me. I drank it in less than 5 minutes. Thanks Mami Janine. Made for Bevy tag.

  5. Oh, yum! This was rich and creamy, even made with 2% milk. I used 1 teaspoon of real sugar instead of the subsitute, and recipe #202716 for the amaretto. Great winter drink! Thanks for posting.

RECIPE SUBMITTED BY

I began cooking as a kid with my mom. I cook mostly Mexican food, but my best recipes are the ones that I improvise at the last minute! Especially desserts, which I love to cook, but always forget to write down. I'm a stay at home mom of three kids- 2 boys (3 & 5years old) and a 1 year old baby girl. My husband and I have been married for nearly 8 years. I want to take a moment to thank all of you who have made my recipes and even took the time to review and/or photograph them. I appreciate every one of them! <img src="http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/susied214/permanent%20collection/cookbookZWT.jpg" border="0" alt="I am alw"> <img src="http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c175/emmyduckie/banner2009.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"width=90%> <img src="http://i132.photobucket.com/albums/q23/vseward/Bevy/officialmemberofthebevtaggame.jpg"> <a href="http://www.recipezaar.com/bb/viewtopic.zsp?t=278234"><img src="http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c99/ruemke/banners/beans-1.jpg"> <img src="http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/gg271/MrsTeny/Permanent%20Collection/PACSpring09Iwasadopted.jpg"> <img src="http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a132/tgifford/Game%20Room%20Banners/AM%20Banners/IRecommendGame_AssortedChoc-part-1.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"> <img src="http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b280/carolinamoon21/Ingredients/Other/Elves-appreciationSTICKER.jpg">
