"This is a cheap recipe for hummingbird feeders my step mother-in-law uses all the time and she says it works as well as the syrup you buy in stores."

  • Mix the water and sugars together. Add a few drops of red food coloring to attrached the birds. Store in the fridge to keep until you need it.

  1. Never ever put red food dye in this recipe. It is harmful to the birds and can cause the syrup to spoil quicker. Use 1 part sugar with 4 parts water and bring to a boil to kill any bacteria or mold present.

Hi, I'm Jessica Kurzyniec, and I am 21 years old. I married a wonderful man in September of 2008. We are buying a house this year which has an amazing kitchen I plan to use often.
