- 1 (14 ounce) can chickpeas, drained (liquid reserved)
- 1⁄2 cup tahini
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 lemon, juice of
- 1⁄4 teaspoon salt
- ground pepper
directions
- Blend all ingreds together.
- Adding just enough chickpea liquid to make a smooth paste.
- Serve in bowl – garnish with olive oil, chopped parsley, pine nuts & a sprinkle of paprika.
- Options to try: marinated red peppers, avocados, or chives.

- Also: for dried chickpeas 1# dry = 33oz prepared.
