I have tried many different potato soup recipes, and I must say now this is one of my favorites. I added a little more paprika because I love the flavor, otherwise I stuck to the recipe as written. This is a great comfort soup, and this recipe is going straight into my favorites file. Thank you, Glitter!

Oh this brought back wonderful memories. I did add the paprika to the onions after I sauteed them to add more flavor to the potatoes. I thinly sliced the potatoes with the food processor, rather than dicing them cause thats the way my mama did it. Hid the soup in the back of the refrig and had it for 3 lunches. No, I did not share and I am not ashamed either.

I am an avid cook and recipe collector. I've been cooking since I was 9 yrs. old. I am the first American from my family so I cook many different European dishes, everything from west to east. If I had a month just to do what I would like to do...I would like to cook that month with a famous chef. I also write a bulletin for a Service to Mankind organization. Since I collect recipes anywhere I can see them, I've been asked to share them with my readers. So this site is wonderful not just for me!
