Here in Costa Rica, it doesn't have to be 5 o'clock! Elevenses are fine, too! This was a mighty tasty drink, and I'm having to backspace to correct my typos. Whew, lotsa rum!!! Ever since my first visit to Pat O'Briens, all my adult life I've used Pat O'Brien's hurricane mix (full of I-don't-want-to-know" chemical ingredients) to make this wonderful drink. Wish I had known how easy it is to make this from on-hand ingredients! Thanks for posting, teammate!!!

I made mine a double. I used Myers's Rum Original Dark and black current juice so my drink was really a dark purple. I found the Welch's Passion Fruit juice in the frozen aisle at the store. Taste very good, but I think I need to make another one to try and perfect a lighter color. Wish me luck, this may take a few tries. It is beyond me, how they get this drink the pretty red color using the dark rum. Made for team Soup-A-Stars during ZWT9 2013
